Group presentations
are available in which I talk about the history and origin of the bagpipes and the various types which have evolved throughout Europe over the centuries.
The historical and social nature of the music is brought to life as I play selected tunes, from battle marches on the Highland pipes to slow airs and dance music on the Irish uilleann pipes.
Curious about the Highland dress? How did the kilt come about and are the Scots the only ones that wore (wear) them? What's the story behind the funny shoes, and the knife in the sock?

Duration of Talks will typically last anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour, depending on your schedule and interests.
